We been learning on different mathematical formula, today lets learn base formula, this is also as important as the other post of mine which gave you the importance of studying mathematics.

The solving change of base formula is known as formulas which it permits us to rework a logarithm by means of the logs that may be is written with different base.

The change of base formula is given by,

Log _a x = log _b x / log _b a

Here, assume that a, b and x are positive where a≠1 and b≠1.

Area of a hexagon

Geometry is a vast subject, lets learn to find the area of a hexagon. Look at the picture here, what do you get in mind. It is a Hexagon.

How to use a protractor:- In geometry, a protractor is a circular or semicircular tool for measuring an angle or a circle. The units of measurement utilized are usually degrees.

Some protractors are simple half-discs; these have existed since ancient times. More advanced protractors, such as the Bevel Protractor have one or two swinging arms, which can be used to help measure the angle.

Cosine rule

Guys, learn Cosine rule in this post, a different topic. Introduction of trigonometry is already given to you along with some solved problems on them too.

Cosine Rule:- The trigonometric functions like the Cosine rule function is a function of an angle The Cosine rule is same as the Sin rule that hear we have discussed now. The Cosine Theorem, which itself apply exactingly to exact angle triangles. Therefore, Cosine rule allows us to work with any triangle. It is a bit more of an expression to remember than the Sine Law unfortunately, but it is extremely useful. Here is the equation for Cosine Theorem: c (squared) = a2+ b2-2abCosC. This topic is very vast, we will work on more on this in our coming post.

circumference of a circle formula

Lets discuss on a geometrical shape which we been discussing in our day to day life. Lets work on circle and work on circumference of a circle formula below.

What is a circle:- The circle is a shape with points the same distance from the center. Now lets work on its circumference. The formula to measure the circumference of a circle is d=2.r

Example 1(circumference of a circle formula):

The radius of a circle is 2 inches. What is the circumference?

Solution:

d=2.r

d= 2 · (2 in)

d= 4 in

c=pi.d

d= 3.14 · (4 in)

d= 12.56 in

8th Grade Math Help

My little friends, this post is going to help my 8th grade math students. Go through this as the post is going to be very useful.

In my earlier post i had some questions on our 7th grade math friends, well now its your turn. Look for the solved worksheets for 8th grade math friends below.

Question No1:-

Calculate the slope of a line passing through the points (3, 2) and (6, 8).

Solution:

Given the points (3, 2) and (6, 8)

The slope m is given by

m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

= (8 - 2) / (6 - 3) = 2

m = 2

Question 2:-

Solve (4-6)2.

Solution:

The given problem like as (a-b)2. Here a value is 4 and b value is 6.

The formula for (a-b)2 = a2 -2ab+b2.

= 42 – 2*4*6 +62.

=16 – 48 +36.

= 4.
