Can you explain me or give me a statement which gives the identity property of multiplication and addition? Let me remind you of identity element that i have discussed earlier.
Statement of identity property of addition:
When a number of any type or variable is added with identity element of addition, it
gives the same number or variables as result. An identity element used for addition is 0.
Example: 0 + 3 = 3 and y + 0 =y.
Statement of identity property of multiplication:
When a number of any type or variable is multiplied with identity element of
multiplication gives the same number or variable as result. An identity element used for
multiplication is 1.
Example: 7 × 1 = 7 and v × 1 =v
